With modern Government committed to efficiency and industry concerned only with profit, what value does contemporary Britain really place on the feelings and aspirations of ordinary working men and women? Getting Scrap Value explores the material and psychological impact of redundancy on a man who loses not only his job, but, more tragically, his sense of self and his value to his family.

By Stephen Todd

Directed by Biba Lille-West

Cast: Gary Colman, Matt Sheahan and Sue Broberg

What if you could measure pain? What if you could measure love?
The death of a daughter. A brother. A best friend. Which grief is strongest? Stephen is struggling to come to terms with the death of his daughter Amy. But his grief is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Nic, his best friend from school, forcing Stephen and his wife Sarah to face difficult choices and painful truths.
