Writer Dougie Blaxland has a number of exciting projects on the go at the moment:
'If Only for That Moment' (a one woman show he wrote last year) is to have a three week run at the
King's Head Theatre in Islington commencing 22nd September 2008. The director is Hannah Price;
'Chauntecleer and Pertelotte', (a satirical comedy) is the Christmas show at the Hen and Chickens this year
running from 2nd - 20th December, director Toria Banks;
'Getting Scrap Value', (a First Draft play) has just won Best New Comedy at the Maidenhead Festival and Best New Play
at the Henley Festival, director Chris Harris;
New Theatre Publications have accepted four of Dougie's plays for publication and they will be on sale in June.
Cariad Lloyd runs a comedy impro group called 'The Institute'. They perform on the 1st
and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at the Canal Cafe Theatre. www.myspace.com/theinstituteimpro,
Melissa Woodbridge is understudying in 'The Female of the Species' at The Vaudeville Theatre, the Strand until November.
